Attys Awarded $8.5M In Oil Futures Manipulation Settlement

Warren T. Burns, an attorney representing the plaintiffs, told Law360 on Friday that the class is happy that Judge Forrest approved the final settlement.

“This was a hard-fought case, stretching over four years and requiring the resources of many firms to obtain a significant recovery on behalf of the class,” Burns said. “Given the thousands of hours expended, the risks attending this case, and the result we obtained, we think the fee award was fair and reasonable.”
