Members of the Burns Charest LLP family were saddened to hear about the death of their mentor, Steve Susman, from complications resulting from a traumatic bicycling injury and COVID-19. Many of the Burns Charest LLP lawyers and staff have roots—personal and professional—that reach back to their time at Susman Godfrey LLP. The firm acknowledges the impact Steve Susman had on both the careers and lives of the professionals within the firm and the practice of law. And the firm sends its collective best wishes to the Susman Family and many former co-workers at Susman Godfrey LLP. 

Daniel Charest and Warren Burns, Founding and Managing Partners, provided comments. “Every day, I think of and employ lessons from Steve in my practice,” said Charest, “Many good lawyers learned their trade by working for and trying to emulate Steve.
