New Orleans litigators named to prestigious ‘Rising Stars’ list

NEW ORLEANS – Four attorneys in the New Orleans office of the boutique litigation firm of Burns Charest LLP have been selected to the 2021 list of Louisiana Rising Stars, published by Thomson Reuters. Honorees include the state’s top attorneys under the age of 40 or with less than 10 years of professional experience, chosen through a process involving nominations by other lawyers, a review by a blue-ribbon panel and research by the publication’s staff.  

Amanda Klevorn represents plaintiffs in complex litigation with a focus on mass tort, antitrust, and data privacy litigation. She currently serves on the Plaintiff Steering Committees for the In re TikTok, Inc. Consumer Privacy Litigation MDL and In re Gilead Tenofovir Cases JCCP. This marks the third consecutive year she has been named to the Rising Stars list. Ms. Klevorn graduated from Tulane University Law School in 2013 and earned her undergraduate degree from St. Louis University.

Jacob Gower is honored for the fourth consecutive year as a Rising Star for his work in class actions and mass torts, most notably on behalf of individuals exposed to asbestos-containing products and other toxic materials. He earned his law degree in 2012 from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and his undergraduate degree from LSU.

Lydia Wright, named as a Rising Star for the third consecutive year, focuses her practice on multidistrict litigation and prosecuting class actions in state and federal courts nationwide. A former Law Fellow with the Southern Poverty Law Center, she earned her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2014 and her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington.

Rick Yelton represents clients in the firm’s highly regarded, nationwide practice of class actions and mass torts. Named to the Rising Stars list for the second consecutive year, Mr. Yelton received his law degree from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2016, serving as the editor in chief of the Loyola Law Review, and earned his undergraduate degree from Loyola.
