Barbara Bates Selected as a Top 100 Women in the Czech Legal Business
Burns Charest is excited to announce that newly-hired associate Barbara Bates (née Dufkova) has been selected as one of the Top 100 Women in the Czech Legal Business in 2024 for the second year in a row.
The award list was compiled by the #PRVNICH100LET project, created by representatives from Coverstory and Euro magazines to recognize successful women in law based on materials from the international rankings Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, IFLR1000, a number of industry reviews, the rankings of the Czech Law Firm of the Year, reviews compiled by Forbes magazine or the Legal Disruptors project, and recommendations from significant clients. Mrs. Bates was recognized for her contributions in the Competition Law & Public Procurement Category. In her professional career, Mrs. Bates has been involved in multiple competition law cases both in front of the Czech competition authority, and the EU Commission.
Practicing law in the United States at Burns Charest after obtaining her LLM at Harvard Law School, Mrs. Bates represents clients in cases ranging from antitrust to consumer and environmental protection.
