Larry Vincent and Rick Yelton Named to Partnership
Burns Charest is proud to announce that Larry Vincent and Rick Yelton have been named as the firm’s newest partners.
Mr. Vincent joined the firm as an of-counsel in the Dallas office in 2016. Mr. Vincent currently serves as Co-Lead Counsel in the Master Upstream Docket for the inverse condemnation cases filed after Tropical Storm Harvey. He also plays a major role in the firm’s complex commercial cases, mass tort matters, and appellate division.
Mr. Vincent he earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Texas Law Review, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and played on the Legal Eagles. Upon graduating with Honors in 1987, Larry had the privilege of clerking for the Honorable Anthony M. Kennedy, both on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Yelton joined the New Orleans office as an associate in 2018. In the past five years Mr. Yelton has taken on a central role in the firm’s personal injury and property damage cases, managing hundreds of cases across multiple dockets in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He also was instrumental in class action on behalf of content moderators who review social media content.
Mr. Yelton has been named to the list of Louisiana “Rising Stars” every year since 2020, and he was recently honored by The Best Lawyers in America as a “One to Watch” for 2024 and in Lawdragon 500X – The Next Generation list for 2023.
