Daniel Charest Selected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation

Burns Charest co-founder Daniel Charest has been selected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation based on his outstanding professional achievements and commitment to improving the justice system in Texas. Only the top one-third of one percent of Texas attorneys are invited to become Fellows, with each nominee approved by the organization’s Board of Trustees.
Daniel is annually recognized among the top litigators in North Texas – and the nation -- for his impressive record of accomplishments by a number of guides to the legal profession, including Chambers USA, Texas Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers and Lawdragon. In 2020 Daniel was honored as “Attorney of the Year” by Texas Lawyer and named among a select group of “Winning Litigators” by the National Law Journal. He recently represented a group of Texas property owners before the U.S. Supreme Court, which subsequently upheld their right to pursue litigation against the State of Texas for flooding that devasted homes and other property.
The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the country. Founded in 1965 by lawyers determined to assist the public and improve the profession of law, the Foundation has maintained its mission of using the financial contributions of its membership to build a strong justice system for all Texans. To date, the Texas Bar Foundation has distributed more than $28 million throughout Texas to assist nonprofit organizations with a wide range of justice-related programs and services.
