Ellen Short joined Burns Charest in 2024 after clerking for the Honorable Susie Morgan at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the Honorable Dana M. Douglas at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Ellen earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington in Seattle in 2018. She graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University Law School in 2022. During law school, Ellen served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Tulane Law Review, a Legal Writing Fellow, Vice President of OUTLaw, and an extern for the ACLU of Louisiana.
