Max Sternberg

Max Sternberg joined Burns Charest in 2023 following two years representing individuals in personal injury matters, including serving as lead counsel in a case that resolved for more than $1 million, for which he was inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Max earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif, served as a Senior Associate on the Louisiana Law Review, and completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Brian A. Jackson of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. 

At Burns Charest, Max focuses on complex litigation and mass tort matters. His work includes extensive motion practice, discovery, and substantive case development across a range of large-scale litigations, including refinery worker toxic tort cases, environmental and exposure-based mass tort matters, and consumer data privacy and consumer protection litigation. Max has also played a key role in defending depositions and preparing witnesses for trial in a civil RICO opioid case representing hospitals, working closely with hospital clients and their leadership teams. 

Prior to law school, Max earned a B.S. in Finance with a minor in History from Tulane University in New Orleans. 

Outside of the office, Max enjoys spending time with his wife, Olivia, and his dogs, Rey and Boone, as well as golfing, CrossFit, and cooking.
